Why it's brain-healthy

Salmon contributes the omega-3 fats central to the MIND diet's fish recommendation, while morita chiles and olive oil add smoky depth without relying on excess salt or sugar.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 dried morita chiles (or 1 tbsp morita/chipotle powder)
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. 1If using whole morita chiles, soak in hot water 10 minutes, then blend with the honey, orange juice, olive oil, and garlic into a glaze.
  2. 2Brush the glaze over the salmon fillets.
  3. 3Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, brushing once more halfway through.
  4. 4Finish with a squeeze of lime before serving.
